Task Six (1): Digital Photostory

Dear Classmates:
Before / On 10th April, 2007, we have to submit a digital photostory to our blog. Actually, it is very difficult for me to complete this task. For finishing this assignment, I spent two days on reading books about making a digital photo story with Flash. Finally, I can complete this task. ^_^ !!! Please click the following links to see it.

1. Background of this Personal Story
When I was a little child, I lived with my family in Macau. In that period, I felt very happy because the local people were very friendly, especially, my neighbours and my friends. They were very nice to my family and me. I love Macau very much. When I was six, my family and I had to move to Hong Kong because my father came here for doing his business. Therefore, we followed my father to stay in here. After that, I did not go back to Macau again. Last year, my elder sister came to Hong Kong from USA. For memorising our past life in Macau, my sister and I wanted to revisit Macau. In this trip, my sister and I were very happy because we met our old friends in St. Peter Church.

Dear Pui Man,

I will make use of this Easter Holiday to learn more functions of Flash:

I have already borrowed the following books from the public libraries:

- Illustrating with Macromedia Flash MX 2004
(510.7834 FIR)

- Macromedia Flash for Windows and Macintosh
(510.7834 ULR)

- 2004 Flash MX
(312.92 3132)

I hope I can manage before the next lesson, 10th April, 2007. However, up to this moment, I am not very skillful in handling Flash with Photostory and buttons.

Dear Emily,

Several products in your blog show that you have a keen enthusiasm for practicing the software Flash. Let’s keep going! For your photo slideshow, the scenery in Macau arouse the audience’s interest but the caption of the slide is running faster than the sequence of moving pictures.

Thanks for your detailed references.

Best Regards,
Dorothy Tsang

Dear all of my classmates,

When you want to see my photostory, you must be patient to wait for the file to be download completely. After that, press the play button to see it. Otherwise, you will meet the same matter like Dorothy's problem.

Thank you for your kindly attention!

Regards,
Emily

I have visited Macau many years ago with my friends mainly for the purpose of eating. Your pictures remind me some areas that I have and have not visited. I like the captions and your text explanations in the pictures which let me know more about Macau and remind me something I have missed in my past visits. I think digital photo story can help me to refresh my past memory in a lively and interesting way, especially when digital cameras and mobile phones with the function of digital camera are getting more and more common at present.

Emily,

Thank for your sharing. I'm busy this holiday but I can visit Macau through your digital photostory. Besides, I must study hard and hope to apply more functions of Flash in final project.
